Hi:

We are the Bergen family - Lu (Luella), Jerry (Gerald) and Breezy (Ch Baliwyn's
Precious Friend CD, TD, AX, HC, CGC). The Bergen home has known the pleasure of
a beardie presence since 1980 - Breezy is our second beardie and she is 6 1/2
years old. Our first beardie, Mistiburn Daisy, was bred by the late Jane
Turner. Breezy was bred by Alice Buschman who is very supportive and a good
friend.

Having only one beardie - one dog, which seems unusual with BDL folks, allows
us to focus much of our time, energy and love on a very sweet, affectionate
young lady. This has led to our successes in breed, obedience, tracking and -
most recently - agility. Breezy's agility titles include NADAC Novice Jumpers
and Elite Agility and 5 MX legs in AKC. Lu was responsible for Breezy's
obedience and early agility training and Jerry handled the tracking and later
agility skills. Breezy's picture can be seen in our ad in the Feb. '96 Beardie
Bulletin, page 19.

Those who know us from attending dog events know that we are very much a team
effort. Seldom will anyone see one of us at a trial without the other two being
nearby. As a team we each have a job - Lu is the filler outer of entries,
keeper of records and rememberer of facts; Breezy is the earner of ribbons and
Jerry does as he is told. The team work continues at home with Lu being a full
time beardie mom and Jerry being the Frisbee thrower when not being an x-ray
technologist. Breezy is the Frisbee catcher and the protector of our yard from
birds.

We have been members of BAD since its beginning, and we appreciate the efforts
of Libby Myers-Buhite, Beth Canner and others for popularizing the wonderful
sport of agility in the beardie community - it's such great fun.

We look forward to meeting old and new friends on-line as well as at ring side.
