Subject: BDL: BAD: Agility Success in Davis, CA today
Today in Davis, two of our Western Beardies had fantastic AKC runs.
It was Kathy Pavlich's first day out with her German Champion girl, Fallon,
and what a job they did! Fallon paid attention every step of the way and
Kathy led out with vigor and style! Remembering all the techniques she had
learned from our recent workshop with Nancy Gyes at Power Paws agility and
the many pointers from her private lessons and workshops with Tammy Wiebe
(quite a trip from the Redwood Forest of Eureka to Fresno!) Kathy's first
competitive run with Fallon was perfect in every detail and a full 27' under
time, earning her a 2nd place out of 18 in her Novice A 20" division
(and a
goodly number of Front and Finish points). Outstanding, Kathy!
Kathy is such an enthusiast that she and her husband built an entire set
of
regulation equipment at her home, where she does all her training. Kathy
has
hosted agility workshops for her local dog club with outstanding trainers
and
has been instrumental in bringing agility to her remote part of California.
Jana Dozet of Reno, Nevada, and her two year old girl, Shelby did their
thing, AGAIN. This is getting to be quite a regular event. Shelby just had
her fourth qualifying AKC run in a row, not to mention her four qualifying
runs at her first NADAC event two weeks ago, and is becoming famous fast!
Jana and Shelby run with consistency and are exciting to watch! Today she
earned her first Open leg with a weave pole style that you had to see to
believe! Shelby placed 4th out of10. Jana, you now have your own record
to
break!
