Good news from the Texas beardie bunch. Three beardies were entered in the largest ever AKC agility show at Astrohall and each beardie came home with something GREEN. Awesome Allie (Shanaspree-O'Duinnin Intrigue) again got a perfect 100 on Friday, finishing her Novice A title with a third place. Gretchen Blackburn did not know she was supposed to move her dog up to the next level that day and when she told the show personnel they told her to run one more Novice run. She took a fourth leg on Saturday with another perfect score and a second place rosette. Today, Sunday, she was entered at the Open level and did not qualify. Stoli (better known as the Stolmeister or O'Duinnin Andy Gabel Stolaway) qualified on Friday with an incredibly quick time but one fault. He now has his second leg in Novice A. Saturday he missed a contact and Sunday he knocked a bar down so did not get his title this weekend. Hopefully Ann will get another chance soon to show off his talents. DeLorean (O'Duinnin Oh DeLorean) entered her first shows at the excellent level this weekend and missed a leg the first day by 4 seconds. Saturday she had a perfect run coming in 7th out of 36 dogs entered (only 12 qualified) and Sunday she got a second leg but not a perfect score. However, we will take the legs no matter what. It is amazing some of the nasty traps a judge can create out of 20 simple obstacles. Looks like DeLorean earned her chance to attend the San Francisco specialty so I guess I will take off one more day of school to make sure we are there Friday, bright and early. Look forward to seeing all those BAD people. Eileen in TX PS - Last week I was ready to call it quits with an Open title and now I am talking to others about how to get to the Master's level. Am I nuts or what????? I am pumped. We almost completed our excellent title in one weekend but for 4 little seconds. Oh well, I am no longer intimidated by those border collies.

Off to a BAD Start
