“Sprite was my second Beardie and first agility dog. He was a very friendly boy and no person was a stranger in his mind. He wasn't a lightning fast dog but he was fast enough to make steady progress toward a MACH. It took a while until we could work consistently and I am pretty sure we got half his QQs after he turned 9. When he retired from agility, he enjoyed patrolling the yard, guarding his jolly ball and doing backyard agility. Even at 15 he would happily stroll through tunnels for a ball at the other end. Training and trialing with Sprite are some of my fondest memories as he taught me a great deal, made me grow as a person and a dog owner, and led me to rethink how to achieve our goals and have a great time, too! Sprite was one of a kind and will ALWAYS be in my heart.”

Hi Everyone,
I am pleased to announce that my Sprite is now MACH Moonstone Kindred Spirit! We had a wonderful weekend in Toano, VA at the Central Virginia Agility Club Trial with judge Bob Jeffers. My husband Rick came for the first time in 3 years, the weather was nice, the courses were lovely, and we were surrounded by friends we have trained with for many years.
BIG thanks to Sprite's breeder, Sandy McDonald for placing him with me 10+ years ago and planting the agility bug....AND to Casey Minner who successfully ran Sprite for me when I couldn't including earning one of his double Qs!

Congratulations to Beth Kortze and her brown boy Sprite on earning their MACH Saturday! I am especially proud of Beth because as she recently reminded me, she only ever had a goal to put an AX/AXJ on Sprite! I'd say she has far exceeded her goal! I was sorry to have missed the run but very glad that her husband Rick was there and able to video this amazing accomplishment! Hoping for a piece of frozen MACH cake soon!! Hugs, Sandy McDonald
